FILL THE GASP WITH EITHER do OR make IN THE CORRECT FORM
I've just had a terrible day. I got up late because I didn't
hear the alarm. Fortunately I was woken up by people a noise in the street. When I got to the kitchen
I found we had no more coffee so we had to make with hot milk. As I was -up my face in the bathroom Mrs Brown, the
neighbour opposite, knocked on the door. She a fuss because the children had been faces at her through the window. When I went back
to the kitchen I saw the children had an awful mess, so I made them the dishes before going to school. Before I left
for work I a list of what I wanted the cleaning lady to in the house and left it on the table for her.
When I got outside the door I had to my way through crowds of shouting demonstrators
to get to my car. I arrived late for work and immediately went to
say, "How you do?" to the new boss. He said the
company had been very badly but that he would do his best to a success of the company. The first thing he
wanted me to was to make up a good slogan for a publicity
campaign. I said I'd it at once. I went to my desk but as soon as I
began to work I realised someone had something childish and stuck my mouse to the
table with chewing gum. I didn't want to a mountain out of a molehill so I said nothing
but made up my mind to have nothing to with the other people in the office. They are
always fun of me anyway. After cleaning the house, I
worked quickly to up for lost time. I up 50 different slogans, though people don't
always give me credit for my imagination I never things by halves. I took them to the boss but he
an excuse and didn't look at them. After that I a lot of boring filing that I'd been putting off
for a long time. I was the last to leave the office and sure the lights were off before I left. I drove
home and on the way the police me for speeding. They said I was more than 150 kilometers an hour but I think
they must have a mistake. When I got home I saw none of the
rooms had been because the cleaning lady hadn't come so I had to
all the housework myself. I was wondering why
the children were so late when I saw a note from my ex-husband.
He said I wasn't my duty by the children so he had taken them off
to Addis Ababa. There was also a letter from my doctor. I suppose
he had to inform me that I have cancer but it's difficult to light of it. What a mess my life is in!
After thinking about it for some time I a decision: If I'm for anyway I might as well take a 100 aspirins
and myself in immediately!
