To leave a sour / a bad / a nasty taste in the month = Lasciare l’amaro in bocca, lasciare la bocca cattiva
- A bad / bitter taste in the mouth = un sapore amaro in bocca
Never look a gift horse in the mouth = a caval donato non si guarda in bocca
